Wheel Kids is an adventure and exploration camp that uses bicycling as a means of transportation, personal development and fun. With locations in San Francisco, Walnut Creek, Palo Alto, and Los Gatos, we provide elementary and middle school-aged children the opportunity to build confidence and self-esteem, improve their cycling skills and physical fitness, investigate and learn from their environment, engage in off-the-beaten-path activities, and enjoy themselves in an unstructured but supportive camp setting. Children participate in daily bike rides, cycling skills clinics, bicycle maintenance instruction, off-the-bike adventures and activities, and special events, visitors and tours. Go here to see all our locations: http://wheelkids.com/contact/ We also provide special programs for kids in the 5 - 8 age range who haven't learned to ride on their own yet. During summer and holiday camps, this program is Two Wheelers Club, a one-week program that teaches aspiring cyclists to ride independently - free of training wheels! We also provide learn-to-ride and skills-improvement lessons and classes. Our list of activities includes summer camps, holiday camps, riding classes and lessons (including our special Middle School Bike Skills program in Palo Alto), family rides, and school-based instruction programs.
